FHCP's Dr. Kathleen McCabe and Evan Birchfield Honored at the 2026 Volusia-Flagler 40 Under Forty Awards

Florida Health Care Plans (FHCP) is proud to announce that two of our employees, Dr. Kathleen McCabe and Evan Birchfield, have been named honorees in the Daytona Beach News-Journal’s 20th Annual 40 Under Forty awards for 2026.
The annual program highlights 40 young professionals across Volusia and Flagler counties, celebrating their leadership, professional achievements, and commitment to community service.

Dr. Kathleen McCabe serves as a Rheumatology specialist at one of FHCP’s care centers in Daytona Beach. She is dedicated to providing exceptional care for FHCP members aged 18 and over.
“Dr. McCabe embodies the essence of what it means to be a professional and a leader in health care. Her dedication to her patients and her ability to elevate our standard of high-quality patient care make her truly deserving of this recognition,” said Mindy Trawle, FHCP’s executive director of clinical practices.
Evan Birchfield is a social media specialist and content creator at FHCP, where he performs an integral role in developing and distributing external and internal communications for members and employees.
“Evan is purpose-driven to connect with the community and convey our mission through compelling content," said Steve Gerrish, FHCP’s corporate communications and marketing director. “He actively supports important community causes and is committed to serving members and employees by keeping them informed and engaged.”
