Health Care means more than just the services you receive. It is also the coverage that helps pay for your care. When looking to make a purchasing decision, you should look at both sides of the equation.

Health Care:

When looking at purchasing Health Care, some of the items you should consider in your decision are what it will cost you to receive your care in a copay, deductible or coinsurance. Some of the services available are:

  • Doctor office visits
  • Hospital stays
  • Emergency Room Visits
  • Blood Draws
  • Immunization & Screenings
  • Annual Deductible
  • Annual Maximum Out of Pocket
  • X-Rays
  • Prescription Drugs

Health Coverage:

Once you purchase Health Coverage, each month you will pay a set premium to FHCP or your employer for this coverage.

By paying this premium, you will have access to the care you need when you need it. In addition, your health plan will help you pay for the care.

For example:

If you need to see a doctor and the visit costs $100, instead of having to pay the entire amount, you may only have to pay a $20 copay. The other $80 would be paid for by your health plan. If the doctor also provides you with a prescription to help you get better, instead of paying full price at the pharmacy, you will have low-cost copay and the rest will be paid by the health plan.
