Far beyond a traditional HMO, we have been contracted since 1981 with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to expand our services into provision of both medical and prescription coverage. And in January 2009, we joined Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida as an independent licensee, which provides FHCP members with nationwide and global access to Blue Cross Blue Shield’s highly regarded and accessible Blue Card network.

This includes our state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record (EHR) system that gives our staff health care providers access to the latest and most comprehensive patient health information at any time, from any facility where our patients receive care.
We’re all about Workforce Wellness. WorkForce Wellness (WFW) is synonymous with FHCP. WFW is a holistic partnership between an employer and FHCP to align health benefits and specific healthcare services through a value based design. Using our proven patient centered medical home model, we integrate bonafide wellness and occupational health programs with robust medication therapy and management models. The result is a seamless health care delivery system optimizing each member’s health and wellness opportunities while encouraging appropriate utilization of services and management of costs.
We’re much more than an HMO. Since 1981 FHCP has been contracted with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide both medical and prescription coverage. In 1991, FHCP was selected as the first health care delivery system for the Florida Healthy Kids program. In 1997 and 2000, FHCP created Point-of-Service and Triple Option Riders in response to the desires of our community for greater physician and health care facility choices. In January 2009, we joined Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida as an independent licensee, which provides FHCP members with nationwide and global access to Blue Cross Blue Shield’s highly regarded and accessible Blue Card network. Our latest response to the needs of our community was in 2010 with the development of an Individual Health Plan product.
