Acute Low Back and Neck Pain
Florida Health Care Plans (FHCP) has developed a program with Ability Health Services and Palm Coast Sports Medicine to help our members receive quick care.
Goals of the Program- Provide prompt care for acute (sudden) injuries
- Provide access to symptom management
- Offer patient education in the areas of body mechanics, rest, and use of heat/ice
- Screen patients to help expedite appropriate primary care referrals
- Quality Care/Service - for neck & low back pain
- Evaluation by a Physical Therapist
- Exercises to manage your pain
- Techniques to prevent future injuries
- Care while waiting for your scheduled doctor appointment
- Treatment that may eliminate the need for a physician visit
- Relief from chronic pain if you are having a flare-up
- Quick Access - No Referral Needed
- Must be over the age of 17
- Member must not be currently receiving care from a physician for chronic low back or neck pain
- Appointments that require a referral will be coordinated
- Plan co-payment and limits apply
