Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy

As National Birth Defects Prevention Month comes to a close this January, we at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continue to think about birth defects every month, every day. Today, I am sharing with you the advice I give my own family members, friends, and colleagues about steps they can take to increase their chances of having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. If you are a woman between the ages of 18 and 44 or have a friend, family member, or loved one within this age range, please read on and help share these tips.
