Florida Health Care Plans Receives NCQA "EXCELLENT" Accreditation
National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) sends a team of trained health care experts, including physicians, to conduct a rigorous on-site survey of the health plan after they have reviewed hundreds of documents, processes and reports submitted by Florida Health Care Plans (FHCP). NCQA uses the information from FHCP records, consumer surveys, interviews with plan staff, performance on selected HEDIS measures to assess health plan quality and performance on selected CAHPS measures to assess customer satisfaction with the health plan. NCQA awarded FHCP with "EXCELLENT" accreditation status. NCQA awards a status of EXCELLENT to organizations with well-established programs for service and clinical quality that meet their rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement.
